Meet the 32 Dean's Honored Graduates for 2019
I was named one of 32 Dean's Honored Graduates from the UT Austin College of Natural Sciences in 2019. Less than one percent of the graduating class of the college is selected for this award, which is the highest honor given to graduating seniors from the College of Natural Sciences. It recognizes excellence in the classroom as well as substantial achievement in scientific research, an independent intellectual pursuit, or exceptional service and leadership to the college and university.
Ten Students Receive Prestigious Federal Graduate Research Awards
I earned a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in 2019, and was one of two students selected that year who planned to work in plasma physics. This award provided up to three years of support for my graduate study and research.
University Co-op Graduate and Undergraduate Excellence Award Recipients Honored at Annual Ceremony
I was one of five undergraduates selected to receive a 2019 University Co-op George H. Mitchell Undergraduate Award for Academic Excellence in recognition of my research project developing a magnetic electron/positron spectrometer for the Texas Petawatt Laser.
Three Undergraduates Selected as Goldwater Scholars
I was one of three students in the UT Austin College of Natural Sciences to earn a 2018 Goldwater Scholarship. This scholarship is the United States' premier award for undergraduates pursuing research in STEM fields.
